We specialise in the repair of all types of Sliding Patio Locks, French Door Multipoint Locking Systems and Tilt and Slide patio door. Most patio door types can be difficult to lock and unlock through time usually due to to movement on the building or conservatory they are fitted too. The weather can also play a big factor in how your patio lock operate throughout the year. In the summer a conservatory can overheat so much the plastic on the doors expands putting pressure on the locking system.

Door handles become difficult to lift and locks hard to turn. Its the opposite in the winter time as you door will retract in the cold weather making it difficult to lock. Freezing temperatures can be the final straw that breaks a locking system leaving your French door or sliding patio door jammed in the lock position. Your door door will stretch back and forth over the year depending on weather conditions.

If you are having trouble with locking your patio door then on most occasions small adjustments can be made to assist with it locking. Most re-alignments we attend are to fix doors that have never been adjusted since they were originally fitted. Having your door checked and re-aligned can be the difference between the locking system breaking and not. If you continue to persevere with a difficult door lock forcing the handle up to get it locked then it will eventually break.

If you get your door fixed before it breaks then you are only paying our standard labour charge and not having to pay for a complete new locking system.

Give us a call and let us know what problem you are having we should be able to let you know over the phone what needs to be done to fix the problem and the total cost. All our door lock repairs are carried out same day as call.

Sliding Patio Locks

Do you have  a sliding patio door lock with a small Black Lever? Small Black levers are common in older Sliding Patio Door and are prone to snapping especially if its been difficult to push it up or down and open the doors. We have lost of these small Black Handles available if you happen to break yours.

We will also fix the problem of the door that’s difficult to lock causing pressure on the black lever handle. On most occasions a slight adjustment to the door pins or door alignment can be the difference to make sure you can lock the door easily and not be pushing really hard to get the small Black lever to go up or down.
